Nasolabial fold

The nasal lip fold is the line that runs from the side of the nose to the corners of the mouth. The line is also known as a “nasolabial fold”. Due to hereditary factors, the condition of the skin and age, the line can deepen. The furrow, which occurs, gives an unnecessarily tired expression, sometimes at an early age. A deep nose lip fold occurs in both men and women.

The wrinkle near the nasolabial fold can be treated safely with fillers. The furrow is often caused by sagging cheeks. Loss of volume causes the cheeks to 'hang' slightly from the cheekbones and the groove deepens. In addition, the nasolabial fold can be filled by yourself. Fillers increase volume. The nasolabial fold will disappear. The clinic uses safe, temporary fillers from A-brands, such as:

When will the effect with fillers be visible?
The first result is immediately visible. After about two weeks, the optimal result of the nasolabial fold treatment can be seen. A check-up consultation with the cosmetic doctor will take place around that time.
How long will the result of the filler last?
The effect of the treatment depends on the filler chosen. Most fillers ensure that the groove stays away for at least one year. From that moment on, it is advisable to opt for a small “maintenance treatment”.
How long does it take to treat the nasolabial fold and does it hurt?
A nasolabial fold treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. During the filler treatment, the cosmetic doctor will give small punctures into the skin. These are almost painless. In some cases, bruises or minimal swelling may occur. By cooling the treated area, they will disappear quickly. A camouflage cream will cover up any bruises. You will leave the clinic radiant.
