Acne treatment

Acne is a common skin condition. It mainly occurs in the face, neck, shoulders, back and arms. It is a disorder of the sebaceous glands and occurs not only during puberty but also far beyond. It occurs in both men and women. Hormonal fluctuations, stress, hereditary predisposition and medication affect the degree of acne. Acne treatment depends, among other things, on the type of acne, the severity and the location.

Acne treatment The Hague

The right treatment cannot be determined in advance. This is because there are different forms of acne. One is characterized by comedones or blackheads. These can be open (black comedones) or closed (white comedones). Sometimes these comedones become inflamed and pustules or pimples can occur. Such inflammations may vary in degree. There may also be discolorations of the skin (purple, red) and sometimes acne scars originated. There are also skin conditions that look like acne but require a different approach. Our clinic therefore has various types of acne treatments.
