Lip filling, also known as lip augmentation, is a cosmetic procedure that gives you beautiful full lips. The mouth is always an eye catcher. When we talk to each other, we look at each other's lips. As the years go by, the lips become thinner due to loss of volume. You may get vertical lines along the edge of the lips because the contour line seems to fade. The corners of the mouth can droop, which gives a sad look. Filling lips with fillers gives a younger look and makes narrow or small lips fuller.

Which filler is suitable?

To fill lips, we use a filler with hyaluronic acid. A hyaluronic acid-based filler is very safe. The clear gel is very similar to the hyaluronic acid that is naturally present in our body. We restore the volume of your lips by applying small amounts to the right areas. We'll make sure that your lips match your personality again. They regain their natural shape, volume and firmness.

In addition to this treatment for fuller lips, a lip filler can make the corners of the mouth less drooping and soften the wrinkles on and around the lips. Enlarging the lips can even soothe fine wrinkles just above and below the lips, or prevent the development of these types of lip lines.

Natural lip contour & beautiful lip volume

By injecting your lip contour or lip edge (the transition between normal skin to the colored skin of the lip) with fillers, it is turned back on. Drooping corners of the mouth can be lifted and wrinkles between the corners of the mouth and chin can be blurred. We can also bring asymmetric lips back into proportion with just a small treatment.

Sometimes the ratio between upper lip and lower lip calls for injections into the red lip itself. It may also be desirable to fill the lip red itself for a fuller shape. We always aim for subtle enlargement so that your mouth retains its natural shape and we always look at your entire face during the treatment.

Painless treatment

We always perform a lip filler treatment with fillers that consist of hyaluronic acid with added anesthetic fluid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is present and produced in the body. It helps restore volume to your lips, and the hydration of the lips will also improve.

At Van Lennep Kliniek, we use various A-brands of hyaluronic acid, such as Restylane, Juvederm, or Belotero. In addition to hyaluronic acid, these fillers all contain a light anesthetic, so that the treatment will be almost painless. Optionally, we can still provide the lips with an anesthetic cream; this way you are assured of a painless treatment.

What does a lip filler treatment cost?
The price of lip augmentation can be found in our price list.
Does a treatment hurt?
The fillers that we use contain a light anaesthetic for a virtually pain-free procedure. We can also apply an anaesthetic cream prior to treatment if desired.
How long do lip fillers last ans is it visible immediatley?
The result of lip filler is immediately visible. The lips may be slightly swollen in the first 24 hours and we will assess the final effect after 3 weeks. The result of a lip filler lasts approximately 12 months. Thereafter, the treatment can be repeated.
I want a natural looking lip filler. How can I prevent an unnatural result?
A lip filler can give a very nice natural result, but you should go to a certified cosmetic doctor (KNMG) for that. Our cosmetic doctors have a lot of experience in this treatment and are well trained. An unnaturally large lip is a result that we do not support and this cannot be achieved with a 1 ml treatment.
Can you remove lip fillers again?
Hyaluronic acid fillers can dissolve completely. Have you had your lips filled elsewhere and don't like the result? Then the cosmetic doctor may inject you with hyaluronidase, which will dissolve the filler. The costs are from €150.00.
How long does the treatment take?
A lip filler treatment with injectables takes about 15 minutes and will cause little swelling or bruising. If you quickly suffer from bruises, you can indicate this in advance during your intake interview. We can then take this into account during your treatment. For example, you can take arnica drops or tablets beforehand to prevent possible bruising.
Do my lips feel different after filling?
When the treatment is done properly, they don't feel any different than your own lips.
