What is the difference between laser and IPL treatment?
The most effective method to permanently remove unwanted hair is laser hair removal. In contrast to an IPL treatment, the laser emits a much more focused, powerful laser beam, which effectively destroys the hair follicles. With an IPL treatment, the light beam is spread more, making it less powerful. As a result, with an IPL treatment, you usually need more treatments to get the desired effect.
How does the laser treatment work?
Prior to treatment, a personal treatment plan is always drawn up based on your wishes. During the free and non-binding intake, you will discuss with the skin therapist which areas you would like to have lasered. You can go to our clinic to treat the upper lip, armpits and face. The skin therapist will then explain everything about the treatment and about our lasers.
Once everything has been discussed, you can switch to laser treatment. Depending on the size of the area to be treated, the laser hair removal treatment takes an average of 10-15 minutes, for example if you have your face or neck treated. When you have your entire legs lasered, this takes a little more time, approximately 30-60 minutes. The treatment is almost painless, because cooling is used during the treatment.
After the treatment, the treated skin is smeared with a care cream and you can immediately schedule your follow-up appointment. Laser hair removal requires several treatments, an average of six to ten. With each treatment, you will see that fewer and fewer hairs grow back!
