As we get older, this process gradually increases, but a more present tear trough may also be genetic, or may be more present from childhood. How does tear trough treatment work?

If there is a loss of volume, reducing volume in this area is the most effective approach. This is done with a hyaluronic acid filler. Hyaluronic acid is a soft, supple gel made from the body's own material that reduces depth and a smoother transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek and cheekbone. The volume in the skin is thus restored in a natural way, resulting in a less tired look and a fresh, energetic appearance.

The cannula (blunt needle) is inserted via only one puncture hole, at the top of the cheek. The area of the tear channel can then be approached subcutaneously to leave the hyaluronic acid behind. The tear duct filler treatment has no downtime and only takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Volume loss occurs in several areas. If the puffiness continues into a crease in the cheeks, it is recommended to also treat the cheeks and cheekbone.

What are the costs of a tear though treatment?
The costs for a tear duct filler treatment depend on the amount and type of product. We generally start with a distribution of 1 ml on both sides, i.e. 0.5 ml per side. On the price list are the current prices for a hyaluronic acid filler. During a consultation, the doctor makes a specific treatment plan.
What are the costs of a tear though treatment?
The tear though treatment has no downtime and has a minimal risk of bruising. This is because we work with a cannula (blunt needle). Immediately after the treatment, you will only see two small red dots where the puncture hole was made. This wears off quickly and can be camouflaged with mineral makeup.
Does a tear though filler treatment hurt?
Only one puncture hole needs to be made per side. This feels like a pinprick. After that, the cannula goes under the skin, you will not experience any pain sensation.
When will I see results?
Immediately after the treatment, volume was reduced by the filler, so there is a clear difference compared to before the treatment. A hyaluronic acid filler will attract some moisture and even out even more, so after 3 weeks, we can properly assess the end result. Curious about the actual results? How long will the result remain visible?
A hyaluronic acid that is used for the tear channel stays in place for an average of 12 - 14 months. The volume decreases gradually and the treatment can be repeated.
I doubt I'm ready for a tear duct filler. Are there any alternatives?

I have a significant excess skin. Can I get rid of this with a filler?
If there is a severe sagging skin with a large overview of the skin, plastic correction is sometimes the best solution. If there is mild sagging but more loss of volume, a hyaluronic acid filler offers a solution.
Is a tear duct filler safe?
Our clinic works with natural and safe fillers from A-brands. Hyaluronic acid is always biodegradable. The treatment is carried out exclusively by KNMG cosmetic doctors.
