The end of 2020 is approaching, which means that many people are considering switching from health insurance. By taking a critical look at health insurance, costs can be saved. Did you already know that reimbursement from the supplementary insurance is also possible for various skin therapy treatments? Read more about the options below.
A skin therapist is a paramedic and treats medical problems such as acne, rosacea and pigment problems as a BIG registered therapist. Skin therapists have been directly accessible since 2011. This means that you do not need a referral from the doctor or a medical specialist.
Treatments performed by our skin therapists are not covered by the basic insurance. To qualify for (partial) reimbursement for your skin therapy treatment, you can take out additional insurance. Examples of these types of skin therapy treatments include acne therapy, scar therapy and camouflage therapy.
Which treatments and products can be reimbursed?
-Cleansing acne treatments
-Chemical peels for acne (scars)
-Microneedling for (acne) scars
-Removing skin imperfections
-Jane Iredale camouflage products
It differs per health insurer and health insurance which treatment and what percentage is reimbursed for a treatment. In addition, some health insurers have certain conditions, such as having a referral from a doctor or medical specialist. For more information about this, please contact your health insurer.
How does payment work?
After the treatment, you must pay immediately. You will then receive the invoice immediately by email, which you can submit to your health insurer. If applicable, you will be reimbursed the relevant reimbursement from your health insurance. Van Lennep Kliniek has no contracts with health insurers.
